The old site did not grow with us.
KiteActive is growing rapidly. Their old website couldn’t keep up: managing trips, bookings, and events was cumbersome, and maintaining the Dutch and English versions took a lot of time.
They were looking for one clear platform where customers could easily book a trip, buy a ticket, and order kite gear.
Together with the KiteActive team, we built a future-proof website that combines their adventurous look with solid technology.
The site operates as a multisite, so the Dutch and English versions can each be easily managed separately. We integrated a booking system, an event module with ticket sales, and a fully-fledged webshop.
What we built.
Three components that make a difference for KiteActive and their customers.
Booking trips
Each destination has its own page with video, stories, and a booking block. Visitors choose the number of days and people, see immediately when the next trip departs, and pay online.

Webshop
In the WooCommerce store, you can find clothing, equipment rentals, transfers, and memberships. Filters by category and price make searching easy, and payment can be made with iDEAL, Klarna, credit card, or bitcoin.

Dutch and English
The site operates as a multisite: the Dutch and English versions are separate sites with their own content, connected via the language selector. This way, KiteActive reaches kitesurfers worldwide, without double management.
