How do I adjust a synced pattern or unlink it on one page?
You cannot edit a synced pattern directly on the page. That is the intention: you adjust it once in the builder, and it is correct everywhere. Does it need to be different on one page? Then you can unlink it at that spot. Here you can read both.
In short
- Select the pattern and click on Edit builder ↗ in the sidebar.
- Adjust the builder and click on Save: all pages will change accordingly.
- Want it different on one page? Click on Unlink at this spot.
- After unlinking, there will be regular sections that you can freely adjust.
- With Linked builder you can swap the pattern for another synced builder.
Adjust everywhere: via the builder
Step 1: Select the pattern
Click on the synced pattern in the editor. You can recognize it by the label Synced builder pattern. The panel Pattern link opens on the right in the sidebar.
Step 2: Click on Edit builder
Click on Edit builder ↗. The builder opens in a new tab, in the same editor as a page.
Step 3: Adjust and update
Adjust the text, photos, or settings just like on a regular page. Then click on Save. All pages with this pattern will immediately show the new version. Go back to the tab with your page: you don’t need to save anything for this change.
Note: a change in a synced builder is immediately live on all pages where it appears. Are you unsure about a major change? First save a copy, or read how to revert to a previous version in draft, example, and previous versions. Builders also save revisions.
Different on one page: unlinking
Step 1: Select the pattern
Click on the synced pattern on the page where it needs to be different.
Step 2: Click on Unlink at this spot
Click in the sidebar on Unlink at this spot. That button is also in the toolbar above the block. You will be asked: “Are you sure you want to unlink this pattern at this spot? The blocks will become copies here and will no longer be linked to the source builder.” Click on OK.
For a moment, it will say Unlinking…. After that, there will be regular sections at that spot with the content from the builder. You can adjust those freely. Click on Save to save the page.
Good to know: unlinking only applies to this spot on this page. The builder itself and all other pages with the pattern remain linked. Changes in the builder will no longer appear at the unlinked spot.

Link a different builder
Do you want to show a different synced pattern at this spot? Choose another builder from the list at Linked builder. Only synced builders are listed there. Then click on Save.
You can read more about the difference in synced or unsynced: the difference. You can place a new pattern with + Add pattern.
Not working?
- I cannot click in the text. It is a synced pattern. Adjust it via Edit builder ↗, or unlink it at this spot.
- Message “No builder linked. Choose one in the sidebar.” The block refers to no builder (anymore). Choose one at Linked builder, or remove the block.
- Message “Unlinking failed — could not retrieve the builder content.” Refresh the page and try again. Does the builder still exist and is it published?
- My change is not visible. Click on Save in the builder. If there is caching on your website, refresh the page or wait a moment.
- The pattern has disappeared from the page. The builder may have been deleted or is no longer published. Check that under Builders → All builders.
