Every page has its own unique URL. The URL consists of: http protocol, your domain name, and a page slug. An example URL is:
https://www.lefcreative.nl/kennisbank
. When this URL is entered in the search bar, the visitor will land on our knowledge base page. This way, your page can also be accessed.
It is possible to change the URL of your page. For example, you can change
/kennisbank
to
/frequently-asked-questions
. We will explain step by step how to do this.
Step 1: Log in
Log in to your website. Go to www.yourdomainname.nl/wp/wp-admin
Step 2: Navigate
In the navigation menu, go to the tab “Content” and click on “Pages”. Then choose the page for which you want to change the URL from the overview.

Step 3: Adjust page URL
By default, a URL will be generated based on the entered page title. If desired, the page URL can be adjusted.
You do this by scrolling down on the page to the section “Yoast SEO”. Go to the text box “Slug” and enter the desired URL.
Please note that you should not use spaces in the URL.
Step 4: Save page
The final step is to save the page. You do this by clicking the blue button “Update” or “Save” at the top of the page. The changes will be saved immediately.
