What is Gutenberg?

What is Gutenberg?

Gutenberg has been the new standard way to create and publish posts, pages, etc. since WordPress 5.0. In Gutenberg, you build your page out of different blocks. You have the freedom to choose which blocks you place on the page and where you place them. Instead of a complicated shortcode or HTML code, you can now simply select a block that does this for you. This makes it easier to fill your website.

What Gutenberg blocks are available?

If you want or have had a website created by Lef Creative, the Gutenberg blocks are custom-made for your website and your design. This means that there are different Gutenberg blocks than the standard ones. Based on your wishes and the design, it will be discussed which blocks are needed on the website. These blocks will be created.

Every website has the following standard blocks:

• Hero block: The first block displayed on the homepage
• Text and media block: Text on the left and an image or video on the right
• Media and text block: An image or video on the left and text on the right
• Image block: Displays an image
• Text block: Displays text
• Slider: Multiple images displayed in a slider
• Highlight post type: Displaying pages of post types (pages, posts, etc.)
• And much more!

The standard blocks will be styled according to the design. Other blocks will be custom-made according to your wishes.
